2026 Homestead Women’s Retreat: A Wise Woman Builds
November 13 @ 8:00 am – November 14 @ 4:00 pm
Practical Skills, Shared Wisdom, and Meaningful Community
Join us for A Wise Woman Builds, the 2026 Homestead Women’s Retreat, held November 13–14 in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
This intimate, two-day gathering invites women of all ages and stages of life to learn practical skills, share hard-earned wisdom, and build relationships with others who understand the work of creating a home, homestead, family, or business.
Whether you are an experienced homesteader, a beginner building your first set of skills, a young woman preparing for the future, a mother raising a family, or a grandmother ready to pass along what you have learned, you are welcome here.

What to Expect
This retreat is intentionally limited to only 120 women, allowing for a more personal learning experience than a large conference. The weekend will include:
- Large-group teaching sessions
- Small, mentorship-style breakout classes
- Hands-on projects and practical demonstrations
- Opportunities to ask questions and learn directly from experienced women
- Conversations with homesteaders, homemakers, farmers, mothers, and entrepreneurs
- Lunch on Friday and Saturday
- Friday evening dinner and fellowship
- An all-day coffee and tea bar
Topics will include homemaking, traditional food skills, dairy, cheesemaking, sewing, mending, crochet, herbalism, gardening, nutrition, parenting, homestead business, family systems, entrepreneurship, and more.
The goal is to help women become more capable and confident in the work they are called to do, while creating space for older and younger generations to learn from one another.
