The Homesteaders of America conference couldn’t happen without our volunteers!
Our volunteers do more than help keep the conference running. They’re often the first friendly faces attendees meet, the helping hands behind busy event areas, and an important part of what makes this gathering feel like a community.

Enjoy the conference when you’re not working your assigned shift. Your ticket will be refunded after your shift is completed.

From welcoming attendees to helping behind the scenes, there are plenty of ways to lend a hand. Volunteer assignments vary based on event needs, availability, and individual abilities.
Welcome & Check-in
Help attendees get oriented and find their way around the conference.
Setup & Breakdown
Help attendees get oriented and find their way around the conference.
Parking

Merchandise
Help attendees get oriented and find their way around the conference.
Kidsteaders
Provide assistance with Kidsteader classes. Help children, support teachers, and prep/cleanup before and after classes
Other Event Support
You may be asked to help with other tasks needed by the HOA team, speakers, or vendors. Anything that keeps the conference running smoothly.
What Does Volunteering Involve?
Our conference volunteers help keep things running smoothly so attendees can enjoy a weekend of learning and community. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we’ll help you understand your responsibilities before the event.
Volunteer Schedule
Each volunteer is required to work one half-day shift and help to set-up or take-down.
Volunteer Admission
You will need to purchase a ticket. Your ticket will be refunded after fulfillment of your assignment (refunds will be processed within a week after the conference). Volunteer admission is for the individual volunteer only. Children and additional family members must have their own admission tickets or passes, as applicable.
Your Commitment
Be available for your assigned responsibilities and arrive ready to help.
Your Conference Experience
When you’re not working, enjoy the conference, visit vendors, and attend available sessions.
Your Volunteer Preparation
Volunteers will receive details about their assignments and instructions before the event.
