RV and Tent Information

Please read ALL of this information carefully before considering the RV and Campsite rentals for the Homesteaders of America conference. We are so excited to have this opportunity for the community to come together and mingle during the week of the conference. But there are a few things to keep in mind about the campsites first. We encourage you to have an amazing time either way!

READ THIS FIRST:

Due to the high demand in requests last year, we’ve worked out a deal with the Warren County Fairgrounds to allow a limited number of RV and Campsites on the property for the conference. This will allow you to mingle with friends and never leave the property. Please keep in mind that this is NOT a campground, it is simply a Fairground. Therefore we are not equipped to host showers and other amenities, etc.

This also means that campsites may be a little more expensive than a typical campground because we are responsible for clean-up and damage done to the property by campers (this happened last year, and it’s not cheap to fix!)

PLEASE NOTE: During the Thursday workshops, campers will not be permitted to enter the fairgrounds until after 5 PM without a paid ticket to one of the workshops.

AVAILABILITY

The fairground is open for rentals from Wednesday, October 9th through Sunday, October 13th. Campers must be off-site by 11 am on Sunday following the conference. All trash must be picked up and spaces must be left the way you found them.

CAMPING DETAILS & COSTS

This includes water and electricity where mentioned.

  • 120-Volt 30 Amp RV Plug — ($85/per night)
  • 120-Volt 20 Amp (reg plug) — ($85 per night)

RV AMENITIES

Water is near electrical outlet for RVs. There is no sewer dumping at campsites, however, there is a dumping spot when you leave. We’ll send you more information when we send you your campsite package information.

CAMPSITE AMENITIES

Campsites include access to water spouts, however, we ask that you not let the water run constantly at any time as we are charged for water usage. We also suggest you bring a hose. Porta-potties are on-site and can be used.
Showers are not available on-site. We encourage you to check out the multitude of camping shower options online for a minimal fee. You can find them here — https://amzn.to/2rbdop6

There are 24/7 security cameras and monitoring on-site at all times by the Fairground property managers and owners.

REFUND POLICY

Partial refunds are given with a 60-day notification. A $45 fee will be retained for the costs of booking and refunds sent back. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THEN, REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCE, AND, FOR SECURITY REASONS, WE DO NOT ALLOW THE TRANSFER OF RV & CAMPSITES. Please do not reserve an RV or Campsite unless you are absolutely certain you will be able to make it to the conference.

DETAILS REGARDING YOUR RESERVATION

We will email you all of the details you need in regard to your reservation, including your location, a couple of weeks before the conference. As we are a small team busily preparing for the big day & traveling in the days & weeks leading up to the conference, we will not be able to respond to emails confirming the dates you booked. Please save your dates!

CAMP ENTRANCE

All RVs and Campers will use the SECOND entrance to the fairgrounds ONLY. This is the entrance attendees came into to purchase tickets last year.

AMENITIES

The fairgrounds are nearby an expansive selection of food, shopping, and activities. The fairground is only 8.3 miles from the Front Royal Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park.
