A Wise Woman Builds | The 2026 Homestead Women’s Retreat

Please read the contents of this page in its entirety before purchasing a ticket. This is one of the most unique events we’ve ever hosted, and we are so excited about the intimate setting, the ability to learn in a very small group, and the topics we’re going to be teaching. As always, tickets are non-refundable.

This event is for older women, younger women, and even teens and pre-teen girls wanting to get a head start on their skills.

If you’ve ever wanted to sit and learn with a mother or grandmother who has knowledge beyond our generation, this is the event for you. We are calling all homesteading women who are wanting to dive deeply and intentionally into topics and skills that have been lost for so many. Things like homemaking systems, routines, nutrition, herbalism, becoming an entrepreneur with your homestead and farm skills or products, or even wanting to just learn how to raise your children and livestock wellโ€”this event is the place to be (see full list of topics below). With unlimited coffee, intimate cozy settings, and incredible conversation!

120 Women. Two Days. A Lifetime of Wisdom. There are some things you can learn from a book. There are some things you can learn from a video. And then there are the things that are best learned while sitting at the elbow of a wise woman who has walked the path before you.

This is where the Proverbs 31 woman and the Titus woman collideโ€”learning, wisdom, growing, sharing, creating, and building. The older teaching the youngerโ€”the younger teaching the older, too.

The Homesteading Women’s Retreat was created for exactly that. For two intentional days in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, 120 women will gather together to learn the timeless skills of homesteading, homemaking, entrepreneurship, motherhood, stewardship, and womanhood from women who have spent years living them.

Whether you’re a seasoned homesteader, a brand-new beginner, a young woman preparing for the future, a wife and mother building a home, a grandmother passing on a legacy, or a single woman pursuing a life of capability and purpose, you belong here.

This is not a conference filled with celebrity speakers and crowded hallways. This is a gathering. A place where meaningful conversations happen. Where questions are welcomed. Where wisdom is shared freely. Where practical skills are taught by women who have spent years honing them. Where you’ll leave with more than informationโ€”you’ll leave with confidence. You’ll leave knowing you can do the things you’ve always wanted to learn.

And you’ll leave knowing you’re not alone.

Hands-on topics will include:

  • Homemaking and creating a peaceful, productive home
  • Herdshares on the Homestead
  • All About Dairy & How to Utilize It
  • Systems for a Well Kept Home
  • Online Blogging & Social Media
  • The Sourdough Micro Bakery (Sourdough Basics & How to Profit)
  • Cheesemaking and traditional food skills
  • Sewing and mending (including a sewing project)
  • Parenting and family culture
  • Cultivating “the village” in your community
  • Homestead entrepreneurship
  • Building a business from your homestead
  • Growing & Selling the Market Garden
  • Raising Responsible & Helpful Children: Chore & System-based Routines for Home & Farm
  • Cut flower gardening for profit
  • Stewardship and intentional living
  • The Beginner Family Herbalist: Herbalism & Whole Family Remedies (2 hour certificate once completed)
  • Crocheting (including a granny square project)

And much more designed to help you become more capable, confident, and equipped.

Our goal is simple: To help you learn the skills that many women wish they had been taughtโ€”but never were.

The skills your grandmother may have known. The skills your mother may not have had the opportunity to pass down. The skills that help create resilient homes, thriving families, meaningful work, and lasting legacies.

Learn from Women Who Live It

Our teachers and speakers have spent years building homes, businesses, farms, gardens, and families while helping thousands of others do the same.

Featured Teachers Include:

These women won’t simply stand on a stage and share theory. They’ll share real-life experience, practical lessons, honest challenges, and proven methods that have worked in their own homes, businesses, and homesteads.

Large Group Sessions + Small Breakout Learning

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING A TICKET

One of the most unique aspects of this gathering is the opportunity for both large-group learning and small-group mentorship-style sessions.

Throughout the weekend, all attendees will come together for keynote lectures and main-stage teachings where everyone learns together. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to attend smaller breakout sessions with individual teachers.

These breakout sessions are intentionally limited in size, typically hosting approximately 10โ€“20 women per room, creating an atmosphere that feels more like sitting around a kitchen table than attending a conference. This smaller setting allows for deeper learning, meaningful discussion, questions and answers, and personal interaction with the instructor.

Important Breakout Session Registration Information

Because breakout sessions have limited seating, registration for these smaller sessions will take place several weeks before the event. Your event ticket includes access to breakout sessions at no additional cost. However, attendees must pre-register for individual breakout sessions in advance. And they are clearly very limited.

After purchasing your ticket, it is extremely important that you watch your email inbox. Several weeks before the event, we will send detailed instructions and registration links that allow you to select and reserve your breakout sessions.

Because room capacities are limited, breakout seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a particular breakout session fills before you register, you may need to:

โ€ข Choose another available breakout session, or
โ€ข Attend one of the large-group lectures taking place during that time block.

We strongly encourage all attendees to watch their email carefully and register as soon as breakout registration opens to ensure the best opportunity to reserve the sessions most important to them.

An Intimate Gathering by Design

Unlike larger conferences, this event is intentionally capped at only 120 women. That means fewer crowds. More conversations. More opportunities to connect. More opportunities to ask questions.

And more opportunities to build meaningful friendships with women who share your values and goals.

The result is an experience that feels personal, welcoming, and deeply encouraging. This isn’t just another event you’ll attend, it’s a gathering you’ll remember. A weekend that equips you with practical skills. A place where wisdom is shared generously. A room full of women who understand the work of building homes, families, businesses, and communities. A chance to learn the things you’ve always wanted to learn from women who have spent years living them.

If you’ve ever wished you could spend a weekend learning from wise mothers, grandmothers, business owners, homesteaders, and homemakers who could show you the way forward, this is your opportunity.

We would be honored to welcome you!

Join us November 13โ€“14, 2026, at The Statehouse in New Market, Virginia, for a one-of-a-kind gathering created specifically for women who desire to build lives of capability, stewardship, purpose, and legacy.

Come and enjoy lunch (on both days) and dinner (Friday Evening). Connect with like-minded women, mothers, grandmothers, entrepreneurs, farmers, old and young, single and married homesteaders.

We hope this weekend of women only (nursing babies and lap sitting toddlers welcome) will leave you feeling like you’ve just had the biggest retreat with your girlfriends. Go home and head into the holidays knowing that, even if you have to do it alone, this homesteading lifestyle is absolutely attainable as a woman. And, even when you’re feeling overwhelmed by work and family life…there are others who understand, and who can help you through this life…together! And yes, there will be lots of coffee!
