Planning and Growing a Year of Food and Feed
with Shawn & Beth Dougherty
What do we need to plant, how much, and when, in order to grow food for the whole farm, for the whole year? From staples like potatoes and corn, and meat and dairy around the year, to seasonal garden vegetables, wild-foraged foods, and fresh winter greens and roots, you can grow a whole year’s worth of food for your family – and your livestock – beyond organic, nutritious, diverse, and delicious. Learn the basics of planning, harvesting, and storing food and feed for the whole year, every year, as Shawn and Beth Dougherty share their experience of over a quarter-century of growing, storing, and eating from their family farm, the Sow’s Ear.
