First Care Provider Course

with Jake Drumm

The first care provider course is intended to teach participants the skills and information needed to intervene in life-threatening traumatic injuries in the first minutes of the emergency or until first responders arrive to take over care of the patient. Attendees will be taught and practice skills required for hemorrhage control, respiratory emergencies, anaphylaxis, exposure, and basic patient movement. Other topics covered will be basic wound management, long bone splinting, and all-ages CPR. Course completion certificates will be provided, as well as AHA CPR certification.

Time: 9 AM-2 PM

Students will take home: 

• Personal IFAK (individual first aid kit) – $100 value

Students should bring: 

• Wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to participate in scenarios, move around on the ground, and get dirty.
